With Christmas a little over a week away, I hope you’ll indulge me today as I share my photos from my New York City trip. New York goes all out for Christmas! It occurred to me last night that I need to finish my holiday shopping. So instead of panicking, I’m going to share my photos.
Even in the rain, Rockerfeller Center (square?) was packed. Of course I had to take a photo in front of the humongous Christmas tree. It looks a little droopy in the rain, doesn’t it? I should have taken more photos of Rockerfeller Square but I was trying to find a trashcan to dump my boxed lunch. I walked around the block twice and no trashcan in site. But I saw no trash on the ground. It was odd.
I walked to the famous Fifth Avenue to visit the Apple Store (my first time in one!) The walk along the way was beautiful. This number 9 made me think of Sesame Street and their number of the day.
I walked past the gorgeous windows of Bergdorf Goodman that were decorated for the holidays. There were ice queens and all sorts of awesome images. With the rain and the crowds, I didn’t feel like trying to stand on the sidewalk to get a clear photo.
But I did snap a photo of the star hanging high up over the intersection.
Christmas in New York City is beautiful. I’m glad I was able to capture some photos.
That tree came from a town near me! It was all over the news here. 🙂
There were no trashcans because they are a security risk. There are clean-up crews that come through all day to sweep up trash. Rockefeller Center is the cleanest place I’ve ever seen in NYC!
So I should have just thrown my trash on the ground? Now it makes sense to me. Thanks for letting me know!
ha ha. i don't know about that! i must research this because that is an excellent point…
