Christmas music is one of my favorite things about the holidays. We have several different music channels programmed into Pandora. While I can play music on my television, I dislike having the tv on for extended periods of time. Now with my portable Bluetooth Pocket Speaker by Carbon Audio I can listen to my music anywhere without compromising the sound quality.
I bought the Pocket Speaker as an early birthday gift for my husband. His birthday is only a few days before Christmas so I try to make sure we have two separate celebrations and gifts. Since the Pocket Speaker is exclusively available at the Apple Store, I made my first pilgrimage to the store while I was in New York City last week. As you can see in the photo above, the Fifth Avenue store’s iconic logo is a bright homing beacon. Even though the store was jammed packed, the customer service was top notch. I will definitely visit the Apple Store again.
He was pretty darn excited about his new, very portable speaker. On Sunday nights, my husband and I livestream Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me while I work and he does the dishes. (I know, he’s a keeper.) Usually we use my Galaxy Tab to stream it but it’s hard to hear unless we turn the sound all the way up. The Pocket Speaker has speakers on both sides to give it 360 sound so we can both hear our favorite NPR show. The size doesn’t compromise the sound quality at all. Because it uses Bluetooth technology, you can easily pair it with any device. It took me less than a minute to pair it with my Samsung Galaxy S4.
I took a short video so you could hear what it sounds like. You can also hear my kids chatting in the background as they craft.
Instead of tuning into our NPR show last night, we put on my Pandora Christmas station to get in the holiday mood. Throughout the year, I collect and buy toys so we can make a big Toys for Tots donation. I tucked the Pocket Speaker in the branches of our Christmas tree. Then we sorted all the items and packed them up to donate. As much as I love shopping for my kids, it feels good to drop off two big bags stuffed with new toys that will make other families happy.
My husband bought himself one of those little round Bluetooth speakers and the Pocket Speaker has much better sound quality. It’s lightweight and comes in different colors. The rectangular shape makes it easy to pack into his backpack. It makes a perfect gift for the music lover on your list. I might have to buy another one and gift it to myself. When you have two, you can pair two of them together for surround sound. Put one on each side of the room during your next holiday gathering! How cool is that?
I love this! Such a fun way to spread some holiday cheer! I need to get myself one of these now: ) Great post! #client
