I’m currently in Austin at BlogHer Food, but wanted to share some parenting meets race stories I’ve been saving for you. Yesterday I spoke at the conference about cultural conversations in food. I’m glad to see so many people who want to learn how to respectfully write about food from cultures not their own. It’s an ongoing conversation that our community needs to have.
As always, there’s no lack of parenting meets race stories, but I wanted to reshare an old post of mine that’s still relevant today.
- Is Interracial Love Worth It? (I’m Not the Nanny)
- We Need Diverse Books Launches Curated Books App (Publisher’s Weekly)
- Ben & Jerry’s Said Black Lives Matter and the Reaction Was Predictable (Eater)
- How Diversity Shapes Multiracial Experiences (NBC News)
- Hear Something, Say Something: Navigating The World Of Racial Awkwardness (NPR Code Switch)
- How an uproar over Asian stereotypes ended an NBC comedy before it started (NBC News)
- I’m totally digging this Walmart tv ad featuring an Asian and Black interracial family!
