Valentine's Day Love with Hallmark-I'm Not the Nanny #ValentineCards #shop

I love sending friends and family cards in the mail. The only problem is that I haven’t been very good about it recently. We didn’t even send Christmas cards this winter. Starting this Valentine’s Day, I’m making a promise to send more love mail. Now that my kids are old enough to sign their own names, I’m starting a new family tradition. Together, we’ll pick out our favorite Hallmark Valentine’s Day cards and send some love mail to their grandparents and aunt.

I took my Jaxson to Walmart with me so he could help pick out our cards. Here he is “reading” the card we found for my mother-in-law. This card is from Hallmark’s Mahogany line, which offers greeting cards that celebrate African American culture.

Here’s another Mahogany card I found. If Sophia were a bit older, I would have purchased this card for her. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Love the hair on the silhouette too. I almost bought it just to put on my wall.

Hallmark Aisle at Walmart-I'm Not the Nanny #ValentineCards #shop

I had no idea that Walmart carried such a large selection of Hallmark cards. This is just one aisle of Valentine’s Day cards. You can find cards for every occasion. We even picked up a birthday card for my mother-in-law while we were there.

Jaxson has been working very hard at preschool to learn how to write his name. He signed all of the cards all by himself and was so proud. These are my favorite kind of parenting moments: when my kids realize how much they’ve accomplished.

Sophia was very serious about her card signing as well. She carefully read every card before putting her autograph on it. Now that all the cards are signed, I can actually put them in the mail early! Score one for me. Every brownie point I can score with my mother-in-law helps, right? I can’t believe I haven’t sent out more cards the past few years. It doesn’t take as much time as I thought and picking out the cards with the kids is so much fun. I also bought cards for Sophia and Jaxson that are super cute. They are thrilled whenever they receive love mail and I can’t wait to see the look on their faces when they open the cards I chose for them.

Hallmark Card Rewards Program App-I'm Not the Nanny #ValentineCards #shop

I’ve always loved Hallmark cards. When I was in college, I visited my local Hallmark store weekly and chose the perfect cards to send out to friends and family. Now I can pick them up at Walmart when I’m shopping for groceries.  Did you know that you can earn rewards for the Hallmark cards you purchase at Walmart? It’s free to join the Hallmark Cards Rewards Program and you’ll earn a reward for every 5 cards you purchase. You can download the app from iTunes or Google Play so it’s easy to log the cards you purchase.
