I let my kids pick out their clothes, as long as it’s (mostly) weather appropriate. Recently their fashion sense is beginning to emerge and I love seeing them put together outfits. Humor me as I show off my kids and their clothes.

Jaxson has always had strong opinions about his clothes. He loves wearing pants and socks. As you can see his favorite color is orange. We took Sophia into H&M to buy some fall clothes and Jaxson immediately eyeballed these orange corduroy pants. It’s his first pair of cords AND they were orange. It was a no brainer for him. It was my first time shopping at H&M for kids clothes. The prices were very budget friendly! These corduroy pants were only $10 and we got the Angry Birds shirt on clearance for $3.

Sophia has finally passed the stage where she makes weird faces for photos. THANK GOD. Getting two kids to look at the camera at the same time is hard enough but when one child deliberately makes not so attractive faces, it’s doubly hard. Now she strikes poses, some of which a wee bit sassy. A sign of challenging teen years, I’m sure.
I also have to point out how awesome her hair looks. We’ve been using a new product, Nene’s Secret Leave-in Conditioner and Detangler (they sent me some to try). I makes combing out those knots so much easier. The formula smells pleasant (important with hair products) and very light. It doesn’t weigh down her hair or make it greasy. We usually wash her hair and comb out her hair at night. This is how it looks the morning after, with no additional work. If I ever remember, I’ll try to take before and after pictures to share.

She still dances with abandon which I hope she never stops doing. Here she’s rocking last year’s sweater dress from Children’s Place and a cardigan her aunt bought in Japan 5 years ago. She was 2 years old when my sister bought it and Sophia was finally able to fit in it last year. Sophia loves this chunky, long sweater. It’s perfect for chilly fall mornings. We did pick up some new clothes for her at H&M too. Due to her height and long legs, she wears “tween” sizing but I’m not sure I like the tween fashion that’s out there. Next month she’ll officially be a tween. Hold me.
Where do you shop for kids clothes?
