For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been testing out one of their new totes, the Caprice. After you read my review, you’ll have a chance to win your very own JJ Cole Caprice tote. Even if you don’t have to lug around diapers for your kids anymore, trust me, you WANT this bag.
The words diaper bag and stylish don’t usually occur in the same sentence. I admit it. My first diaper bag was practical but horribly ugly. It screamed, “I’m a mom and there’s diapers in this bag!” Then I discovered JJ Cole diaper bags. I love them so much, I’m on my third JJ Cole diaper bag. My JJ Cole Swag hobo bag has traveled with me to many blogging conferences. My friends are shocked to learn its true purpose.
My guy never stays still long enough for a good photo. But he’s happy! |
As you can see, the Caprice is a gorgeous tote. I chose the Vintage Poppy print because I loved its bold colors. It also comes in more neutral colors that will go with anything you wear. The first thing I noticed about the Caprice is its size. It’s roomy and has plenty of pockets which come in handy when you’re carrying around a myriad of baby gear and your wallet, keys, lipstick, etc.

You can carry the Caprice as a tote or attach the padded shoulder strap to wear it on your shoulder. I wasn’t sure how I would like carrying it as a tote since I’m mainly a shoulder strap kinda gal. Honestly, I love having the options to wear it in different ways.
Like all JJ Cole diaper bags, the Caprice comes with a matching changing pad as well as special straps to attach your bag to a stroller. We don’t have a stroller anymore so I can’t demo that for you. Check out their site for photos of it on a stroller.
I’ve been taking this bag everywhere for the past two weeks. I can fit my basic things like my wallet, keys, camera, a diapers, a change of clothes for Jaxson and still have room to stuff in my current book and my iPad with room to spare. I’ve taken it with me on my coffee dates too. I can just toss my travel art kit in it and slide my travel coffee mug in one of the side insulated pockets.
The next time I fly, I’m taking this bag as my personal carry on item. It’ll fit all the things I just listed plus my laptop and a sweater. It gets cold on the airplane, you know. It’s also perfect for lugging my laptop and business cards during conferences. The best thing is, only I know it’s a diaper bag because it’s gorgeous and stylish. When I get compliments on my bag, it’s fun to see the surprise on people’s faces when they learn it’s a diaper bag.
The Caprice retails for $69.95 and is totally worth it. My first JJ Cole bag lasted over 3 years and I finally retired it because I wanted a different bag. That’s right, I got tired of it before it wore out. You can purchase the Caprice Bag online from JJ Cole or find their bags at brick and mortar retailers as well. JJ Cole also carries other baby gear, so follow them on Facebook or Pinterest for more.
