A Working Retreat With a Bed to Myself

In just a few hours I’m jumping on a plane to begin my week long traveling adventure. While both parts of my trip is work related, I’m looking forward to a change of pace. I’ll be away from my family which means a bit of peace and quiet. Which also means  by day 3 I miss them like crazy. This is probably the longest work trip I’ve taken

Today I’m headed Chicago to speak on a panel of Asian mom bloggers for the McDonald’s Asian Business Symposium. I feel really honored to be speaking on a panel with Sheila Dowd of the Clever Girls Collective and Xiaolin Mama; and Jen of Babyrific and Next Kid Thing. We’re excited to share why social media is so important to McDonald’s Owner/Operators. Especially those in Asian American markets.

While I’m in Chicago, I’m going to have a bed all to myself! (I’m assuming.) It’s rare that I get to sleep alone in my bed since the kids play musical beds. Don’t forget about hubby. He likes to steal the blankets. While I will have work to do in the evenings, I’m looking forward to watching bad tv and working on my laptop.

I also pegged this time for my retreat that I talked about a few weeks ago. I printed out my Business Goddess E-Course. I hope to have some sort of plan for the rest of the year and into 2013. I need a little focus, ya know?

After Chicago, I’m headed to Blogalicious! It’s my fourth year, yes, four years, and I’m excited to return. I haven’t let myself get too excited about the conference yet because I was focusing on Chicago. Blogalicious is in Las Vegas so you know I plan on indulging on good food and lots of cocktails!

How was your weekend?

If you’ve never tried any of Leonie Dawson’s e-courses, I highly recommend them. Her Biz & Blog Star Workshop is totally free to download. Try it out! Disclosure: These are affiliate links. I’m a member of the Goddess Circle which gives me access to all of the e-courses that Leonie offers. I paid for the Goddess Circle membership myself.
