The Get Ready for Kindergarten book is a great introduction to kindergarten concepts for preschoolers. Each spread of pages tackles concepts such as ABCs, vowels, feelings, patterns, counting, adding, even seasons and months. That’s only the first half of the book. I was impressed by what was covered.
Like with any Tag book, your child can just touch the pictures and words on the page or they can start a game by tapping one of the star icons on the bottom of the page. Since Jaxson is still young, he doesn’t stay as interested very long on each page. That’s okay with me because I want him to have fun.
We sat down to try out the book together and Jaxson already has his favorite pages and pictures to read. He spent the most time on the Monster Mathematics where he learns to count and add using candy. What kid could resist candy?
Get Ready For Kindergarten also covers science and social studies concepts as well. A very well done, comprehensive book. Each page has two levels of “games” so as your child masters one level, they can advance to the next. The book retails for $13.99 on Leapfrog. Sign up for their newsletters so you don’t miss any sales and special discount codes. You’ll need a Tag Reader in order to use the book to its full capabilities.
We’re definitely going to use this book often as Jaxson begins to master kindergarten concepts.
