Evernote: My New Memo Pad

Lately, I’ve been turning to Evernote to jot my grocery lists, blogging ideas, and fun places to go with hubby. I didn’t expect to use it as much as much as I have been. You know I love my little notebook and my ink pen, but I don’t always have those items with me. Or an grocery item I need comes to me while I’m laying in bed next to Jaxson for nap time.

Evernote is a free note taking app that’s available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry and on the web. Evernote is free but you can upgrade for more storage space, etc. I like that my notes sync with the cloud no matter what device I use to update my grocery list.
I used the Evernote app on my smartphone this weekend as I grocery shopped. While I like how easy it is to create “notes,” as the app calls it, I wish there was an easy way for me to create checklists or to cross off my grocery items. Maybe there is and I haven’t figured it out yet.
I’ve also been using the Evernote Clipper (that is installed right in my browser) to keep track of websites I want to revisit when I have time. Instead of leaving the tab open for a week and then accidentally closing it, I can pull it up in Evernote. You know you’ve been guilty of leaving those tabs open. I have a tab right now in my browser that I’ve been meaning to read for a week.
Have used Evernote? What other apps do you use to take notes?
