I’m going to spill the beans. We’re cosleeping with baby Jaxson. No, that’s not my confession. Sometimes he sleeps in his crib for a few hours and then the rest of the night in our bed. It makes late night nursing sessions much easier.
Since I stay up late at night working, both baby and hubby are asleep long before me. I always secretly hope that they both hog the bed, and there’s no room for me. Why? That means I get to sleep on the couch.
All. By. Mysellf. If you don’t count my cat who has to be glued to my side anytime I’m stationary.
I savor sleeping on the couch. I cuddle up with my blanket and pillows. Snuggle with the cat if she lets me. There’s no baby pawing at my breasts in his sleep. Or kicking me in the face as he tosses. The uninterrupted sleep is blissful. Even it only lasts for 3 or 4 hours. I feel more rested than if I had slept in my bed with Jaxson and hubby.
I love my couch.
