My last three days have been overtaken by sick children. I know it’s normal for kids to get sick this time of the year. Sometimes I question myself because the whining drives me crazy! How am I supposed to be caring and compassionate when there’s so much whining? Thankfully after I convince Sophia to take her meds, she’s less whiny, give or take the hour it takes the meds to hit.
The hardest part was poor Jaxson. He was inconsolabe Monday night. If you saw my tweets or Facebook status, you’d think I was in a war zone. He just cried and cried. He turned his nose up at my breast. He just would not nurse.
Some might say that since he’s almost one year old, it’s no big deal if he refused to nurse. It was stressful for me because I new that nursing was a good way to comfort him and get him to sleep.
All the crying stressed out hubby too. We ended the night very late, tired, and snapped at each other.
Thank goodness we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
