Pamper Time: Celebrating My Birthday in Miami Plus Gifts For You!

This weekend, I’m celebrating my birthday in South Beach Miami, attending Blogalicious! I didn’t plan it this way–the ladies of MamaLaw chose the dates. It’s a great reason to go out of town for my birthday.

When I attended Blogalicious last year, it was my first time at a blogging conference. Sandie and I drove from DC all the way to Atlanta (and back) and got to know each other very well. I met a lot of great women, and partied hard even though I was over 8 months pregnant with Jaxson.

I knew I had to attend this year. Thankfully hubby is always supportive of my endeavors. He’s holding down the fort this weekend. Thanks for an awesome birthday present, honey!

Now I have a gifts for you! Since BitDefender partially sponsored me to Blogalicious, I’m giving away 10 codes for a download a  BitDefender Total Security 2011 for PC ($79.95 value) or our new BitDefender Antivirus for Mac($39.95)  Each code is good on one PC for a year. AND you can win an awesome package of spa products. Keep reading for details on the giveaway.

I’ve been using BitDefender Internet security since I received a copy in my swagbag at a MomzShare event. At first I had  problems getting it to work. It slowed my computer waaaay down and I couldn’t get Firefox to pull up any website. I played around with the settings and couldn’t figure it out. I think I’m pretty tech savvy so when I couldn’t figure it out, I gave up and uninstalled it.

Fast forward to our DC Metro Moms event in June. BitDefender hosted a brunch and brainstorming session. I met Nicole and told her about my problem. I really wanted to try out BitDefender but just couldn’t get it to work. Since my computer is fairly new, I didn’t think it had anything to do with it. Nicole did a little troubleshooting with me, but took my information so the tech guys/gals could contact me. She also suggested that I uninstall my current internet security/anti-virus first before I installed BitDefender.

Guess what? It worked! Since that June, I have not had to do anything else with BitDefender. It runs silently in the background, asks if I want to scan the flash drive or CD I just inserted for viruses. It helped me schedule scans and keeps my computer clean. Perfect since I’m too busy to remember to run scans on my computer.

Now you can have that piece of mind too! To win 1 of 10 codes for BitDefender Total Security 2011 for PC or our new BitDefender Antivirus for Mac, please leave a comment about your computer maintenance pet peeve. For extra entries, follow BitMoms on Twitter or tweet about the giveaway (once a day). Just leave a comment for each thing you do.
