As you know, I fell off the networking meeting wagon but have been making it a point to attend again. Yesterday was our July meeting, where I got to meet Jamie from CertifiKid (cool site!).
I was able to stay and chat a bit after the meeting because my girlfriend graciously took Sophia for playdate with her daughter. Somehow or another, the topic of Twitter came up. You know I’m addicted to Twitter, especially now that I have my smartphone.
Thankfully all the women there have heard of Twitter. Most had an account. But they just didn’t get it. So I tried to explain it to them.
Guess who will be speaking to my networking group this fall about Twitter?
Yep. Yours truly. They are in awe of my Twitter skill. I don’t think they realize I only know so much because I seem to live on Twitter.
Then again, I would have never had such an amazing turn out to my Top Chef Silver Spring competition if it weren’t for Twitter. My friends spread the word like wild fire.
So I must be doing something right.
