Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bra Review

I’m lucky that I’m able to stay home full-time with my children. I work from home and go out about 2 nights a week doing my Passion Parties. Lately, I’ve also had a lot of girls nights out. Since I’m still breastfeeding Jaxson (who’s already 6 months), I don’t pump everyday.

I did pump quite often in the beginning because I was stockpiling for my Passion Parties convention back in March. Boy, I wish I had the Simple Wishes Hands Free Bra when I was in Las Vegas and away from the baby for 5 days.

When I first received the bra to try, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. It seemed like a bit of a hassle to put on, place the flanges into the openings and then start the breastpump. A few extra steps in a process that seem to have too many already.

Now I hate the idea of pumping without it! It’s definitely worth the extra step.

The Simple Wishes bra comes in a small and goes all the way to XXL. It’s extremely adjustable. There is a back panel that velcros onto the main party of the bustier. The front opens with a zipper and also has a removeable panel. You can wear it with straps or go strapless. Check out the video to see how it works.

The bra was very comfortable, especially after a longer than expected night out, and your breasts are engorged and uncomfortable. It’s made of 83% cotton and 17% spandex, and very soft on your skin. I do find that if I don’t line up the velcro parts in the back exactly, it does scratch.

The separating zipper zips from top to bottom, a bit different from zipping up our winter jackets or hoodies. It felt a little awkward at first. After I used it a few times, I understood why it went this way. There is no way I could see over my boobs to hook the zipper and get it started if it was at the bottom. I’m glad co-founders thought about that!

This bra makes me feel a bit like one of those fembots from Austin Powers–empowered!

I have this problem that I have to multi-task constantly. What mom doesn’t? I’m often sitting at my computer, tweeting or checking my email while I’m pumping. I love it. I can also sit on the couch and flip channels. I no longer feel like I’m chained to my pump.

The bra is compact and fits into my Medela pump bag. I just keep it in there with all my breast pump accoutrements. I wish I’d had this bra with the first baby.

At $35, the Simple Wishes bra is very affordable and a must for a mom who pumps occasionally to those that pump everyday. You can purchase one directly from the Simple Wishes website or find a store near you. (Wow, I just checked the store locator and you can find them at Target!)

I received a bra to review. This is not a compensated post and all opinions are my own.
