Pamper Time: Nature’s Edge Farm Bar Soap

As much as an advocate I am for pamper time, it simply didn’t happen this week.  This is our second full week summer (no more preschool) so I’m still figuring out how to keep Sophia entertained without driving myself crazy. Jaxson is still in the throes of teething. After a week of heavy drooling, no napping, constant night waking AND a cold, there is finally visible signs of teeth. No more gummy smiles for my baby.

All this meant I didn’t get one tub soak this week. With hubby working late almost every night this week, and the baby’s constant waking, I didn’t want to ruin my relaxation time by jumping out of the bath to soothe his achy gums.

One thing I’ve been able to do almost everyday (not the almost) is shower. Thank goodness, those of you who actually know me are probably thinking. I never thought of showering as a privilege before I had kids. Priorities, right?

In their swag bags from recent bloggy events, BitMoms gifted us with some great smelling soaps, body bars, and lip balms from Nature’s Edge Farms. They sat on my dining table for a while. Nature’s Edge Farm focuses on handmade bath products only sustainable palm oil and fair trade oils and butters.

After walking by them and catching a whiff of the yummy scents, I finally brought the Ocean Air bar soap into the shower. Took me long enough right? The dining table is less than 15 feet away from the bathroom. What can I say? I’m lazy.

I love bar soap. I switched to shower gels a while back for some reason I can’t remember. It was great using a good quality bar of soap. The lather was thick and the scent smells very fresh and clean. After the suds were rinsed off, my skin felt clean, soft, and moisturized. Once I got out the shower, hubby said I smelled good but couldn’t place the scent. The perfect kind of scent-you can pass it off as your own!

I guess a shower can be considered 10 minute pamper time. I still miss my bath.

Check out Nature’s Edge Farm’s Etsy shop. I’ve been using their Lemon Sugar Lip Balm and every time I put it on, I start craving lemon squares.

I was not paid to write this post or review the Nature’s Edge Farm soaps. The company have no idea I wrote this. The soaps were in my swag bags from BitMoms from our MomzShare and our DC Metro Moms event. I have been chosen for the BitMoms Blogging Network, but that happened after I fell in love with the soap. Don’t worry, I’ll share more about this partnership in another post!
