Nursing at Keyboard (NAK)

Typing at your computer while nursing your fussy baby is quite the skill. Position baby. Have him latch on. Keep his head in the crook of my elbow. Commence typing with one hand. For someone who took typing in high school, switching to one hand is hard. Especially when the danged “s” key sticks. But I can do it.

Sometimes I think I’ve mastered it and his foot kicks my keyboard.

Down goes my TweetChat!  His little foot is on alternating between all my windows. The computer starts freaking out. It starts beeping like crazy.

When I get him to calm down, the windows are still popping up and down.

Like I said, it’s an acquired still.

But I need my Twitter and email and google reader.

How else will I stay connected to the world (and stay sane)?
