Don’t Drool On Me

I can’t believe I forgot that part of being mom to a baby was DROOL. Before I had kids, I couldn’t stand drool! I worked at a theatre and helped their summer camp for many years. Anytime there was a snotty, drooly kid coming my way, I hid. Ok, I just found something else to do.

Nevermind when they started crying for some reason or other. The waterworks normally included snot AND drool. Try being compassionate and caring while avoiding drool. It was inevitable, my shirt would be covered with one those bodily fluids.

Now that I have kids, it’s payback time right? Both of my kids are droolers, teething or not. Now Jaxson has 2 teeth cutting. Then he caught a cold so he had a snotty nose. Sneezes with projectiles. Yuck!

Somehow when it’s your kid, drool doesn’t seem so gross. Or I’m just desensitized.

I hope the first pair of teeth cut soon! I could use some sleep.
