Usually when I work from home, I’m sitting at my desk in the dark except for my desk lamp. I’m either on the phone or working at my computer. Most of my work is done after the kids are in bed. I try to make all my business phone calls between 8PM and 9PM unless I have a later one scheduled. If the baby won’t go down before 9PM, I don’t make any phone calls.
The other part of my business is going out once or twice a week to do Passion Parties. I love doing the parties. I get to wear something besides a t-shirt and jeans, even some make-up when I have time to apply it. I hang out with adults, eat awesome party food, and actually have fun adult conversation with fabulous women. It’s a amazing 3 hours! Being away makes me appreciate my family more, and my husband gets some quality time with the kids before they go to bed (read: dinner, bath and bedtime)
But what about those days when I’m not doing parties?
Tomorrow, I’m starting weekly Success Calls with some of my Passion Parties colleagues. Success calls are great because I have a support team. I share my goals and will be held accountable for any action steps we discuss on the call. We also help each other out when one feels stuck or has an obstacle. I love doing these calls because I can talk to others who know what I’m going through: the success, the challenges, and more.
What about you? How do you find more social interaction as a SAHM or a WAHM?
