Justice Fergie Is A Woman Who Shines

Most of you know her as Justice Fergie. You might have met her through social media or during a blogging conference. She introduced herself as Stacey the first time I met her. We didn’t meet as bloggers or Twitter friends. We met at our local moms support group. The first thing that struck me about Stacey was how genuinely nice she was. She was warm and friendly to everyone in our group, even me who was new to the group and still felt a bit out of place.

It turns out meeting this woman would begin a series of events that took my life in a completely new direction. I don’t think Stacey even knows how much she has changed my life.

Stacey Ferguson, like many women, wears a lot of hats. She’s an entrepreneur, a wife, a mother, a foodie, a social media expert and the PTA president. No matter which hat she’s wearing, she’s working magic without realizing it. She is a matchmaker. Not in soulmate sense, but a connector of like minded people.

Stacey Ferguson co-founded Blogalicious Weekend, a conference for influential multicultural women social media enthusiasts, the first of its kind. She and her business partners filled a need for multicultural bloggers by giving us an environment to connect with other multicultural bloggers in a real life setting.

When I started blogging, Stacey referred me to a collaborative mom blog and within days I became a contributor. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was going to fake it until I made it! Joining that blog introduced me to one of the most supportive communities I have ever met. Months later, Stacey offered me a ticket to the inaugural Blogalicious. Almost 9 months pregnant, I drove with a friend from DC to Atlanta to attend my very first blogger conference.

That first Blogalicious inspired me to create this blog. It showed me that blogging was more than words on a computer screen. Sure blogging can become a business or a brand. Most importantly, blogging is about connecting with others, about building relationships. Stacey connected me with these talented women.

I’m not special. Stacey wants everyone to achieve their dreams. Sometimes we need help. That’s when Stacey the matchmaker comes in.
