Cue Kermit flail. My son has always love drumming on various objects. My parents even bought him a kid-sized drum set when he was 3 years old. We introduced him to videos of Stomp quite early in his childhood. We’re excited to see the show live.
It’s hard to describe the experience of Stomp. First watch this video:
The official description is:
STOMP is explosive, provocative, sophisticated, utterly unique and appeals to audiences of all ages. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps – to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.
Pretty cool, right?
