Favorite Fall Foods From Trader Joes

Trader Joes Storefront

Now that it’s officially fall, some of my favorite foods have returned to Trader Joes. My local TJ’s is less than a mile from our apartment. I got there at least once a week to pick up fresh produce and all kinds of yummy goodness.

Trader Joe’s is notorious for discontinuing items without warning, especially after we’ve fallen in love with them. However, I have come to realize that some items are seasonal. Here are some old and new favorites so far. Be warned, there might be a pumpkin theme.

Trader Joes Sweetened Condensed Milk

The squeeze bottles of sweetened condensed milk were the first fall item I purchased. I’m going to hoard these sweet little bottles because they are seasonal but I drink my Vietnamese coffee year round.

Trader Joes Pumpkin Rooibos Tea

I have no idea if the pumpkin rooibos tea is back this fall, but I bought 2 tins last year towards the end of winter because I knew they would be gone. Now that the evenings are cooler, I brew a cup of this tea to keep company while I work at my desk. Plus it’s caffeine free so I won’t be up all night. (Those who see me on social media at wee hours of the night are allowed to laugh at me.)

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Bread Mix

I bought this pumpkin bread mix on a whim earlier this week. Even though I was short on the 1/4 cup of vegetable oil it called for, the bread came out moist with lots of pumpkin flavor. The kids had some for breakfast yesterday and slathered their slices with cream cheese (and pumpkin cream cheese for Jaxson). The bread is good on its own with a cup of coffee or hot tea as well.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen these photos, but I couldn’t help sharing again.

I haven’t bought any yet, but in a couple of weeks my Trader Joe’s is going to have fat, juicy pomegranates. The kids love them and they love cracking one open and eating the arils.

A friend tells me their chocolate chips are the best while another has recommend their chai tea mix. What are your favorite items at Trader Joe’s?

For those who don’t have a Trader Joe’s near them, did you see the story about the Canadian who buys product from TJ’s and opened up his own store in Canada?
