Savory Snack Heaven with Green Giant Veggie Snacks

I’m a savory snacker. Sure I love my dark chocolate bars and truffles, but it’s crunchy salty snacks that make me happy. Chips are my guilty pleasure. I hide them from my kids and pull out the bag of crunchy goodness after they are in bed. After trying out Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip in Barbecue, I think I’ve found a new favorite chip!

Jaxson paused shoveling the Sweet Potato Chip in his mouth long enough for me to take a photo.

When my box of Green Giant Veggie Snacks arrived, Jaxson begged to taste them. Not one to resist sweet potato chips, I obliged. For me, the key to a good chip is a crisp crunch. The Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip did not disappoint. They were thin with the perfect amount of crunch. I’m picky about my barbecue flavored chips and these had the perfect amount of sweetness. My husband prefers his barbecue chips on the sweeter side so I usually avoid his favorite barbecue chips.

I didn’t want us to eat the entire bag in one sitting, so I hid the rest of the chips. I packed them in our picnic lunch for our post-Cat in the Hat theatre performance. Let’s just say resistance was futile (I’m watching Star Trek Enterprise on Netflix right now). The chips were devoured and all that was left was a bag of sweet potato crumbs.

The Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip are tasty, but are they bad for you? Not at all. One ounce of chips is only 120 calories and only has 190mg of sodium. That’s pretty good compared to my usual bag of kettle cooked chips. The Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip in Garden Ranch pair well with hummus. I would have tried salsa with them, but I ran out. I’m definitely picking up another bag or two the next time I’m in my grocery store.
