Work At Home Mom Picks: VTech Connect to Cell Cordless Handset

I gave up my land line phone service over 8 years ago to use my cellphone exclusively. Sometimes I miss having a full size handset, especially when I accidentally hang up on my husband with my face. I was thrilled when SheSpeaks and VTech sent me a VTech 2-Handset Connect to Cell Answering System with Cordless Headset to test.

The system was easy to set up because I let my husband do it! Actually, he loves setting up any non-computer electronics in our home, so I had him do it. It makes him happy. I setup computer tech things and he gets the other stuff. Marriage is a compromise, right? Seriously though, he popped in each headset’s battery, plugged the bases in an electrical outlet, and we were good to go. If you have a land line, you would also connect it to your telephone jack. All the cords and cables are included.
Connecting the handset to my Samsung Galaxy S3 was as easy as turning on the bluetooth. This model allows you to pair up to two cellphones to the unit. Once your cell phone is paired with the VTech Connect to Cell, you can just leave your cell phone where it has the best connection and use the cordless handsets.
I was most excited about the headset for my conference calls. You can wear it hooked just behind your ear or you can add the over the head attachment. I choose the Madonna look. Do you like it? The headset was comfortable for the 25-40 minute long conference calls I had. The sound was clear and I could easily change the volume.
While I don’t have my cellphone paired with the VTech unit constantly, I enjoy having the option. It’s great if your cellphone battery is low. Connect them via bluetooth, plug in your phone to charge and just use the VTech for all of your phone calls. You can even download your contacts into the VTech’s phone book.
I see a lot of conference calls in my future and I’m definitely using the  VTech Connect to Cell for them.

Do you have a land line or just a cell phone? Would you use a cordless phone unit like the VTech?
