Learn a New Craft with Craftsy Free Class Day (5/18 Only)

Want to learn a new craft or improve your skills? Craftsy is offering Free Class Day! It officially begins tomorrow, May 18, but it looks like you can sign up for a free class tonight. You can sign up for an account tonight and choose your free class tomorrow. (Disclosure: affiliate links in this post.)

Starting tonight, Craftsy is hosting Free Class Day to benefit DonorsChoose. For one day only, new members can choose one free course from a selection of favorite Craftsy classes, up to a $39.99 value! If you haven’t taken a Craftsy class yet, Saturday is your chance to sign up for your first by choosing from classes in quilting, sewing, knitting, cake decorating, and more.

If they meet their goal of giving away 10,000 classes, Craftsy will donate $5,000 to DonorsChoose to fund arts education in public schools across the US. Existing members are not eligible for the free course offer, but will still receive a special treat.

If you’re busy like me, finding time to attend an in-person class can be challenging. How about taking an online, video class instead? I’ve never taken a class with Craftsy before but I’ve seen a few that caught my eye.

I’m eyeballing the Classic Croissants at Home class. Maybe now that I’m older, I’ll have the patience to make croissants. With real butter. Because when I was a kid, my mom only bought margarine because butter was too expensive.

Don’t forget, Craftsy’s free class offer is only good through Saturday, May 18 midnight Mountain time.

What class will you take?

I don’t usually post deals in this manner, but as a crafty person, how could I not share this? It’s pretty cool. I’m signing up myself. The links in this post are affiliate links so if you sign up for a class through them, I earn a teeny commission. Thanks!
