Facebook’s A Better World Rewards Good Deeds Virtual and in Real World

Ever have one of those days where you feel like you’re the only nice person out there? Everyone that you’re nice to is cranky or just plain mean no matter what? Well don’t take it personally. Sounds cliche’, but it’s not you, it’s them.

Instead, head over to A Better World, a Facebook game that will make you feel good about your acts of kindness. You can support your friends and others who play the game by rewarding them for their virtual and real world acts of kindness. When you first start, you’re given the chance to create your own avatar. The creative person in me enjoys this part a little too much! There are more feel good activities you can do while you’re in A Better World.
The games has over 15 locations that you can explore and interact with, such as: Department of Do Good – A place you can share real world good deeds you’ve performed and see what other members of the community have done

  • Gratitude Grotto – A charming area where you can reveal what you are thankful for and express your support for messages left by others
  • Sanctuary of Hope – A building where you can communicate your hopes and dreams and send encouragement to other players
  • Arcade – A play area with uplifting mini-games to enjoy alone or with friends. Three-cycle is similar to those swap a jewel game (you know what I’m talking about) except you’re swapping recyclables and getting rid of trash.
  • Better Pets Pet Shop, a new feature, filled with puppies, kittens and even a magical unicorn. This is perfect if you’re tired of taking care of your kids and want to take care of any animal that won’t yell “Mommy, mommy” all day long.

Try out A Better World, created by ToonUps, a digital entertainment company that has focused on developing digital content that encourages a positive outlook and altruistic behavior.

I’m sure all that positive thinking and encouragement will make you feel better about yourself and the world around us. Shower those meanies with kindness!

I was given the opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions on A Better World. I received a gift card as a thank you for my participation. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
