School starts in less than two weeks for Sophia. Now that she's a first grader, she's been more vocal about her wardrobe. I love that she's expressing her personality and creativity through the way she dresses. I'm also excited that she's branching out from the color pink.
Those of you who read my craft blog know that I encourage my kids to express their creativity with lots of paint and paper. It can get messy, but we always have a good time. If you don't want to get your hands dirty, head to one of the Shine On Saturdays events at your local GapKids. Not only will you be able to check out the colorful fall collection, your kids can make an art project designed by Merrilee Liddiard of Mer Mag. (I've never been to her blog before, but I'm adding her to my reader!).
Each Saturday, your children will be able to do a different art project. Merrilee was inspired by the GapKids items like the girls Jewel Box Jeans (love those colors) and boys Action Stretch Denim. Check out the the fun geometric paintings these cute GapKids created.
Doesn't that make you want to pull out some paints and tape? I think I'm going to try the geometric painting project my kids soon.
