How To Train Your Dragon Live Comes to DC (w. Discount Code)

My kids love magical creatures. Everything from unicorns to fairies to dragons. I know they'll be excited when I take them to see How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular when the show comes to the Verizon Center in a few weeks. Based on the movie of the same title, the live action show features 23 animatronic dragons, including one with a 46 feet wingspan.

Take a look at the video. It looks pretty awesome, doesn't it?

Besides lifelike dragons, there will also be Viking warriors and world-class circus artists and acrobats, to perform against a state-of-the-art, wall-to-floor immersive projection measuring more than 20,000 square feet.   Set in the mythical world of Vikings and wild dragons, and

based on the book by Cressida Cowell, it centers on Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.

How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular will flying at the Verizon Center July 19-22. Tickets start at $29.50. There's even VIP packages that gives backstage tours, photos and meet and greet with the characters. My readers can save 25% on weekday performances (including Friday nights) by using the code MOM in the box that says "Mommy Blog."
